UFP Technologies has manufactured a variety of custom reusable and single-use allograft packaging solutions designed to protect bio-implants at various temperatures, while reducing impact shock during transportation and storage. These solutions include:

Suspension Frame

Our suspension frame offers ultimate protection during the shipment and storage of allografts. Enveloped tightly in a durable film that suspends products within a frame, the suspension film absorbs shocks during impact, allowing allografts to move within a cushion of air. This prevents damage by eliminating contact with the insulated shipper.

UFP Technologies has access to a vast amount of advanced medical grade packaging materials. These materials offer excellent puncture and abrasion resistance, while maintaining desired temperatures. Commonly used materials for allograft packaging include the following:

Medical foams – UFP Technologies can obtain an array of medical grade closed-cell and open-cell foams commonly used for bio-implant packaging. Many of these foams are compatible with autoclave, EtO and gamma sterilization methods. We offer closed-cell foams that are manufactured with nitrogen to eliminate out-gassing, allowing the packaging to be used in operating rooms.

UFP Technologies has five manufacturing facilities throughout the country that are ISO 13485 certified and house multiple ISO Class 8 (Class 100,000) and ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanroom facilities. Acting as an extension of our customers’ R&D and engineering teams, we assist in the design of the packaging, select the proper materials and produce a unique innovative solution that is tailored to our customers’ specific needs.
